Children

Children are welcome in St John’s!

KidZone is the name we give to our children's groups. KidZone meet at

parallel to the main morning service at 10:30am on a Sunday for lots of fun,

games, singing, and learning together from the Bible. During school term

time the children meet in differnt age groups. During school holidays the

children meet together in one large supervised group. The children

frequently take part in church services. KidZone is open to any child aged

3-14.

GLU2 is our youth group for ages 10-18.

Our church school, Clayton CE Primary School, is very popular in the village and has an excellent reputation. It gives the children a sound education within a Christian ethos. The church and school have strong links, with the vicar regularly visiting the school, termly school services in St John’s, and we have four foundation governors from the church.

St Johns and the church school run a Care Club in partnership. It provides pre-school and after-school care for children on the school premises.

The church has thriving Rainbow, Brownie, Guides, Beavers, Cubs and Scout groups attached to it. The groups come to our monthly Church Family and Parade Services.

On the second Sunday of each month St John’s is full with people of all ages as we meet to worship God together at 10:30am. We enjoy a fairly lively style of service, with people from all age groups taking part.
